Earlier this month I purchased a 2010 Toyota RAV-4 from Planet Toyota. I am writing to tell you of my experience in your dealership. Before beginning, I want to acknowledge that I am a more difficult customer than most. There are several reasons for this: first, I am a Canadian and I had many concerns about crossing the Canadian USA border. There is considerable red tape on both sides and I felt I need to be extra careful as a result. You would probably be disappointed to learn that many dealers in the Chicago area attempted to exploit this situation. Second, because I am most unlikely to return to your dealership any time in the near future, I needed assurance that the car I was planning to buy was what it appeared to be. Thus, I found it necessary to scrutinize items like the warranty much more than someone who would be able to call back in a day or a week or a month. Third, theĀ arrangementsĀ I made for payment were more complicated than I expected and they created considerable difficulty for a day or two longer than I had anticipated. Briefly, I was a difficult customer.

In any case I bought the car and am back in Canada about halfway through the red tape. The car behaved beautifully on my 2000 mile return trip. Throughout the tedious process in Matteson, I spent a great deal of time with your salesman , Monet, Mamoun Alhasan, his formal name. His role was exemplary and our ‘deal’ would have fallen apart several times had he not taken so much care to make a customer satisfied, even one as difficult as I was. On two occasions he met me at the station in Matteson, even getting a speeding ticket on one of them because he was hurrying to meet me. Further, he dropped me twice at the local mall where I had made arrangements to meet my son, a stranger to him and a person a long distance from being considered a ‘sale’. Monet is a decided asset to your firm. He was a very bright spot for me and I believe you should know what a capable staff member that you have in your employ.
Further, I was also treated well by your Sales Manager, Shadi Nasser, who went out of his way to locate a motel for me for the night I left Matteson: also Vasko Georgiefski and John Pullen of your Business Department, with whom I had trying moments, but they persevered.
While it probably counts for little, I shall recommend Planet Toyota to anyone who asks, and tell them to search Monet as a valued person in my search for a suitable car, who I believe would treat then in the same fashion that he treated me.
