(MATTESTON, Ill. FEBRUARY 5, 2010) – Planet Toyota is in the process of repairing vehicles that are affected by the “sticky pedal” recall. Their technical staff is performing 40-50 repairs per day with the average repair time between 30 and 40 minutes.
The part used to fix the gas pedals is about the size of a postage stamp. The part is currently being inserted into the accelerator mechanism to eliminate the function that causes the problem.
Customers are encouraged to make an appointment. Planet Toyota’s everyday convenient service hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am until midnight and on Saturday from 8 am until 4:30 pm.
